Agito Psychic War (JP: アギトー超能力戦争ー), the new film celebrating the 55th anniversary of Kamen Rider, has revealed its main trailer and official poster. The movie, part of the Kamen Rider Movie Project, will open nationwide in Japan on April 29, 2026.

New Trailer Reveals the Debut of Kamen Rider G7

The film is the latest theatrical installment connected to Kamen Rider Agito, the landmark 2001 series that still holds the highest average TV ratings in the Heisei era at 11.7 percent. The original series was so popular that it produced the first theatrical film in the Heisei Kamen Rider era and helped shape the future of the franchise.

For this new project, the title deliberately removes the words “Kamen Rider,” presenting a bold new direction and a large scale psychic action film aimed at adult audiences.

The newly released trailer begins with Sumiko Ozawa, administrator of the G Unit and former superior of Makoto Hikawa, played by Toko Fujita. Her line, “It has been 25 years since something like this,” sets the stage as investigators confront an impossible crime in which a single corpse shows signs of both freezing and burning.

As individuals who have awakened psychic powers run rampant and plunge the city into chaos, the disturbing image of the half destroyed head of Kamen Rider Gills emerges.

In the midst of this crisis, Shoichi Tsugami, portrayed by Toshiki Kashu, declares, “We need Hikawa.” Tsugami once fought alongside Hikawa as Kamen Rider Agito to defend humanity from unknown threats. Hikawa, however, is currently imprisoned due to an earlier incident. Even so, he rises again with his allies to protect humanity.

A mysterious voice echoes, proclaiming, “Human reform. It is evolution itself.” Hikawa responds with conviction: “Evolution is not something given by someone else. It is achieved by overcoming difficulties again and again, and by overcoming oneself.” He then dons the powerful new armor G7 and throws himself into battle.

Although Hikawa possesses no supernatural powers, the scene highlights the unwavering conviction that has always driven him to fight for justice. The trailer builds anticipation for both the intense human drama and the brutal conflict that lies ahead.

Latest Armor G7 Revealed

A new still image of the latest reinforced armor G7, worn by Makoto Hikawa, has also been released. Fans are particularly eager to see how the suit has evolved from the G3-X, the armor Hikawa used in the original Kamen Rider Agito series.

Theme Song by ORANGE RANGE

The film’s theme song has been announced as “Dramatic Heibon”, written specifically for the movie by the five member rock band ORANGE RANGE, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

Like the original Kamen Rider Agito series, the band once again provides the theme song. Known for their genre defying musical style and unique worldview, ORANGE RANGE brings a sound that blends nostalgia for Heisei era pop with a fresh evolution suited to the Reiwa era.

The band commented:
