Star Detective Precure Episode 6 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Jett-senpai’s Mysterious Words “You Two Are Destined…”

The story and preview images for Episode 5 of the new TV anime Star Detective Precure! (JP: 名探偵プリキュア！), the 23rd installment in the long-running Precure franchise, have been revealed. The series is set to begin airing on March 1.

Episode 6 Story

Although they were saved thanks to Pochitan, Anna Akechi and Mikuru Kobayashi ended up losing the Makoto Jewel to the Phantom Thieves Guild member Nijii.
After returning to the Curett Detective Agency, Anna checks on Pochitan’s condition. Meanwhile, Mikuru suddenly runs out, declaring that she will retrieve the Makoto Jewel herself.

As Jett-senpai investigates the reason why the Pre-Kit suddenly began to glow, Anna confesses the reason she could not bring herself to give the Pre-Kit to Mikuru. After hearing her explanation, Jett-senpai tells her, “You two are destined… no, you are a miraculous pair,” and encourages Anna to chase after Mikuru.

Meanwhile, Nijii has called Mikuru to the beach, where he waits with fellow Phantom Thieves Guild members Luluka Moria and Mashutan.

Using the Pre-Kit Voice Memo, Anna learns where Mikuru has gone and rushes to the scene. Nijii then summons two Hanninda monsters. Anna and Mikuru transform into Star Detective Precure and confront them together.

Introduction

Star Detective Precure introduces the first detective themed Precure storyline in the franchise and is set primarily in 1999. The protagonist Anna Akechi is a 14 year old second year middle school student living in Makoto Mirai Town. On her birthday, she encounters a fairy named Pochitan and is guided by a mysterious pendant found in her room, triggering a time slip from the year 2027 back to Makoto Mirai City in 1999.

There, Anna meets another 14 year old girl, Mikuru Kobayashi, who dreams of becoming a great detective. When a series of incidents begin to occur, the two girls find themselves unable to ignore people suffering from stolen treasured possessions. Together, they transform into the Star Detective Precure, solving mysteries with the catchphrase “That mystery will be cured” while protecting smiles through sharp deduction and searching for clues that may allow Anna to return to her original time.
