Episode 36 Story

Facing the enemy known as “Divine Revolte,” who has appeared in the village, are the warrior Stark and Genau, who wields the magic known as “Digardnacht,” a spell that manipulates black-gold wings. Can the two overcome Revolte’s overwhelming attacks?

Meanwhile, Frieren, Fern, and Methode are also confronting the powerful demon mages Solide and Hemmung.

Episode 36 features Stark and Genau joining forces against the formidable opponent Revolte. Stark’s axe strikes, Genau’s magic “Digadnacht,” and Revolte’s four-sword fighting style clash in an intense and spectacular battle sequence.

At the same time, Frieren, Fern, and Methode face off against Revolte’s subordinates, Solide and Hemmung. Among them, Methode’s battle scene, which has remained largely shrouded in mystery until now, will finally be revealed. The episode depicts one of the largest and most intense battles of Season 2.

Serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday, Frieren Beyond Journey’s End is a “post-adventure fantasy” that depicts what happens after the hero’s party defeats the Demon King. The story follows Frieren, an elven mage, as she embarks on a new journey with new companions in a world after the hero’s death.

With its unique timeline set after the Demon King’s defeat, the series has captivated readers through its emotionally resonant drama, memorable dialogue, magical and sword-based battles, and moments of gentle humor woven together by its richly developed characters. The manga won the Grand Prize at the Manga Taisho 2021 Awards, and the total circulation of the original comic series has surpassed 32 million copies.

The anime’s first season aired from September 2023 to March 2024, concluding with Frieren, Fern, and Stark continuing their journey toward Aureole, the resting place of souls. Season 2 begins adapting the story from Chapter 61 of Volume 7 of the original manga.
