According to the game’s official X account, the title will no longer be distributed by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

The announcement stated that sales of Fate/EXTRA Record through Bandai Namco Entertainment have been cancelled, and the company offered an apology to fans who had been eagerly awaiting the release.

TYPE-MOON also released a statement on its official website explaining the situation. The company reported that it had reviewed the development structure of the game after discussions between Notes Co., Ltd. and Bandai Namco Entertainment. As part of this review, the development system will be reorganized and the game’s publisher will also be changed.

Because of these adjustments, the release timing will be postponed. Development itself will continue, and the new publisher as well as the updated release schedule will be announced once finalized.

The statement also expressed a sincere apology to fans who have been looking forward to the title and asked for their understanding regarding the delay.

Fate/EXTRA Record is a full remake of Fate/EXTRA, the first RPG in the Fate series. The project had originally been planned for release in 2025, but in July 2025 it was already announced that the launch would be postponed to spring 2026.
