The poll is the second global character popularity poll for the manga ONE PIECE, following the first event held in 2021 to celebrate the series reaching 1,000 chapters. It is being held for the first time in about five years.
A total of 1,560 characters are eligible for voting, and fans from countries and regions around the world can participate. The official ONE PIECE X account also publishes the regional weekly Top 5 rankings every Monday at 12:00 AM (JST).

According to the latest weekly rankings by region, Japan’s Top 5 are as follows:
1. Roronoa Zoro
2. Monkey D. Luffy
3. Sanji
4. Trafalgar Law
5. Portgas D. Ace
However, the results are different outside Japan. In Asia, Oceania, North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, the No.1 character is Monkey D. Luffy.
This makes Japan the only region where Zoro currently holds the top spot in the weekly rankings.
Final Results to Be Announced at ONE PIECE DAY ’26
The final results of the WT100 poll are scheduled to be revealed at ONE PIECE DAY ’26, planned for August 2026.
Characters that rank highly in the poll will receive new illustrations drawn by series creator Eiichiro Oda, and the results will lead to various media projects including anime, games, and merchandise collaborations.
