Sentenced to Be a Hero Season 2 Announced Alongside New Game Project Expansion

The TV anime Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004 has officially been confirmed for a second season. The announcement was made during the AnimeJapan 2026 stage event, where an ultra teaser visual and a production announcement PV were also revealed. In addition, a brand-new game titled Sentenced to Be a Hero -Game of the GODDESS- was announced, marking a significant expansion of the franchise.

The original work is a novel by Rocket Shokai, which received high acclaim in awards such as the Kakuyomu Awards 2020 and the Next Light Novel Award 2021. Following the shocking developments in the final episode of Season 1, a newly released visual shows Patausche Kivia, Xylo Forbartz, and Teoritta heading toward a new mission, further heightening anticipation for the sequel.
