The Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 Set for July Release After 9 Years, New PV Reveals Additional Cast Including Tomokazu Sugita and Yoko Hikasa
It has been confirmed that the second season of the television anime The Saga of Tanya the Evil will air starting in July. This marks the first new TV anime installment since Season 1 aired from January to March 2017. Alongside the announcement, a key visual and the first main promotional video have been released. Additional cast members were also revealed, with Tomokazu Sugita voicing Mikel of the Federation forces and Yoko Hikasa portraying Liliya.

The newly released main PV showcases dynamic scenes featuring Tanya and her unit, as well as commanders from the Imperial General Staff and members of a multinational volunteer army fiercely resisting the Empire.
Story Overview of Season 2
Season 2 is set in the autumn of Unified Year 1926. Lieutenant Colonel Tanya von Degurechaff is appointed commander of the newly formed Kampfgruppe Salamander and is once again thrust into the brutal front lines.

Although the battalion appears formidable at first glance, it is in reality a hastily assembled unit. Tanya questions whether such a force can truly wage war, raging against the absurdity of the situation. Compounding their struggles is the early onset of the Federation’s harsh winter.

The Empire finds itself trapped in a seemingly endless quagmire. While each nation seeks an overwhelming victory to bring the conflict to an end, no one truly understands what they desire or what that outcome would mean. Unable to escape her fate, Tanya continues to stand at the forefront of the turbulent battlefield.
