Tougen Anki Anime: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc Set for October 2026, Nobuhiko Okamoto and Kento Ito Join Cast

Tougen Anki anime has officially announced that the Nikko Kegon Falls Arc will begin airing in October 2026, expanding the story of this dark fantasy series. The announcement was made on March 29 at the Pony Canyon booth during AnimeJapan 2026. Voice actors Kazuki Ura, who plays Shiki Ichinose, and Kotaro Nishiyama, who plays Jin Kougasaki, appeared on stage for the Tougen Anki special event.

New Characters and Cast Revealed at AnimeJapan 2026

During the event, new character and cast details were unveiled. Kento Ito will voice Yu Innami (JP: 印南 幽), a part time instructor at Rasetsu Academy, and a special comment video from him was shown to the audience.

Additionally, Nobuhiko Okamoto, who plays Hagure Nekosaki (JP: 猫咲 波久礼), made a surprise appearance on stage. He energized the crowd by sharing stories about the recently started voice recording sessions.

Tougen Anki is based on the manga by Yura Urushibara, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion published by Akita Shoten, with over 5.5 million copies in circulation. Inspired by the classic Japanese folktale Momotarou, the series depicts a dark hero story centered on the conflict between those who inherit the blood of Oni and those who inherit the blood of Momotarou.

The anime previously aired the Kyoto Arc starting in July 2025 and the Nerima Arc in October 2025, continuing to build its expanding narrative world.
