Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture Set for July 2026 TV Broadcast, 12 Episodes Confirmed with New Key Visual
Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture is set to air on television in July 2026, with a total of 12 episodes confirmed for broadcast.

The series, which was previously screened in theaters across Japan in 2024, will now be broadcast on the “Animeism” programming block across MBS, TBS, CBC, and BS TBS. Alongside this announcement, a new key visual for the television version has also been unveiled.
The Code Geass franchise began with Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, which aired in 2006 with 25 episodes, followed by its sequel Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 in 2008, also consisting of 25 episodes. The series quickly became a major hit.
Over the years, the franchise has expanded through various media mix developments, including spin off works, manga adaptations, games, and stage productions. In 2017, it ranked 7th in NHK’s “Best Anime 100” poll, which selected top anime titles from approximately 10,000 works produced in Japan, solidifying its reputation as one of the defining anime of the 2000s.
More recently, between October 2017 and May 2018, the original 50 episode television series was re edited into a trilogy of theatrical compilation films. These films featured newly recorded voice acting and additional new scenes. Following this, the completely new sequel film Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection was released in February 2019.
Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture continued the franchise with a new anime series, which was screened in theaters in four parts starting in May 2024. It has also been confirmed that a brand new installment in the series, Code Geass: Hoshioi no Aspar, is currently in production.
