The story and preview images for Episode 6 of the TV anime Snowball Earth (JP: スノウボールアース) have been revealed. This episode will air on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11:30 PM (JST) in Japan, and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 6 Story

A sudden sniper attack from a distance strikes Yukio. The assailants reveal themselves to be "Vierde," a unit of boys and girls who control Kaiju. Their commander, Sagami, was once a member of "E-RDE" alongside Tetsuo. He is a man driven by a twisted sense of justice and intense jealousy. As past grievances and madness intertwine, a relentless assault is unleashed upon Tetsuo and his comrades!

Introduction

"Yukio, I’m going to make a friend."

For shy young Tetsuo,
the only friend he’s ever known is the giant robot Yukio.
Together, they defended humanity as its “saviors,”
standing against galactic monsters that invaded from space.

A decade has passed since their final,
desperate battle for humanity’s survival.

When Tetsuo finally returns to Earth,
he finds a world transformed into a frozen wasteland—
an icebound planet now known as Snowball Earth.

Carrying the promise he once made to Yukio deep in his heart,
Tetsuo takes his first steps into this strange new world.
