Ichijoma Mankitsu Gurashi! Episode 5 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Summer Vacation and Rie Staying at the Shop Alone

The story and preview images for Episode 4 of the TV anime One Tatami Room Full of Life (JP: 一畳間まんきつ暮らし!, Ichijoma Mankitsu Gurashi!) have been revealed. This episode will air on Sunday, May 3 at 2:00 AM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 5 Story

Meiko finds herself daydreaming about her recent trip to Guam, feeling completely relaxed. However, her reality sets in when she fails her final exams and is scheduled for makeup tests. Alongside her fellow failing classmates Marika and Neo, Meiko begins an intense study session. They receive guidance from Rie, who surprisingly has excellent grades, and even manage to involve Michika in their studies.

As summer vacation finally arrives, Marika and Neo head back to their respective hometowns. Meiko, having narrowly survived her supplementary classes, also prepares to return home where Mizuori and her younger siblings are waiting. However, she cannot help but feel concerned about Rie, who is staying behind to look after the shop all by herself.

Introduction

Meiko Morita, a high school student living in Akita, is suddenly chosen as a special transfer student for the prestigious all-girls school, "Amamiya Academy". Filled with a mix of anticipation and anxiety for her dream student life in Tokyo, Meiko makes the move to the big city.

However, what was actually waiting for her was the manga cafe "Hedgehog"! Now, she must live and work as part of a "service activity" in this manga cafe that doubles as a student dormitory, alongside a group of highly eccentric residents.

And so, Meiko's slightly mysterious life in a one-tatami-mat manga cafe begins!
