Star Detective Precure! Episode 15 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Anna and the Others Pursue Cure Arcana Shadow’s True Identity, Luluka Moria

The story and preview images for Episode 15 of the new TV anime Star Detective Precure! (JP: 名探偵プリキュア！), the 23rd installment in the long-running Precure franchise, have been revealed. The series is set to begin airing on May 10.

Episode 15 Story

A letter arriving from the Curett Detective Agency in London reveals that the true identity of Cure Arcana Shadow is a girl named Luluka Moria, once known as a genius detective who solved numerous difficult cases in London.

Using the letter as a clue, Anna Akechi and the others travel to a lake where the Makoto Jewel reportedly shattered six months earlier. When they finally reach the area near the water intake tower, Luluka appears before them. However, after saying, “What will you do if you know the truth?” she quickly disappears.

Determined to learn for themselves why Luluka joined the Phantom Thieves Guild, Anna and the others investigate the water intake tower using the Pre-Kit Mirror Loupe. During their search, they discover a worn and tattered scrap of paper that may serve as an important clue.

At that moment, Pochitan senses the presence of a Makoto Jewel. Guided by Pochitan, the group rushes into the forest near the lake, where they encounter photographer Shota Utsumi, whom they had previously met at a wedding venue. Shota is distressed after discovering that his precious camera has vanished.

Introduction

Star Detective Precure introduces the first detective themed Precure storyline in the franchise and is set primarily in 1999. The protagonist Anna Akechi is a 14 year old second year middle school student living in Makoto Mirai Town. On her birthday, she encounters a fairy named Pochitan and is guided by a mysterious pendant found in her room, triggering a time slip from the year 2027 back to Makoto Mirai City in 1999.

There, Anna meets another 14 year old girl, Mikuru Kobayashi, who dreams of becoming a great detective. When a series of incidents begin to occur, the two girls find themselves unable to ignore people suffering from stolen treasured possessions. Together, they transform into the Star Detective Precure, solving mysteries with the catchphrase “That mystery will be cured” while protecting smiles through sharp deduction and searching for clues that may allow Anna to return to her original time.
