BLEACH Thousand Year Blood War: The Calamity Reveals New PV Featuring Explosive Battles : “That Character Appears Too!?”

The main PV for the final cour of the popular TV anime BLEACH Thousand Year Blood War, titled BLEACH Thousand Year Blood War: The Calamity, has been released. In addition, a one day advance screening of Episodes 1 to 3 will be held on June 21, 2026, with a stage greeting featuring a star studded cast.

The PV opens with a tense battle scene between Ichigo Kurosaki and Yhwach, where not even a momentary opening is allowed. The powerful footage then unfolds with spectacular battle action featuring Kisuke Urahara, Yoruichi Shihoin, the Gotei 13, Uryu Ishida, and many other characters.

About BLEACH and the Thousand Year Blood War Arc

BLEACH was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016. The story follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a young man who gains the powers of a Soul Reaper after meeting Rukia Kuchiki, and depicts the battles and journeys of Ichigo and his companions.

The anime adaptation of the final arc, Thousand Year Blood War, aired its first cour from October to December 2022, its second cour from July to September 2023, and its third cour from October to December 2024. The final cour, BLEACH Thousand Year Blood War: The Calamity, will air from July 2026.

In The Calamity, Ichigo learns Uryu’s true intentions and renews his resolve to protect the world as a friend who still believes in him. Meanwhile, Yhwach has become an existence that surpasses even The Almighty. As the fierce battle over the survival of the three worlds moves toward its conclusion, the story asks what awaits beyond the chaos of calamity, despair or hope, and depicts the end of the thousand year blood war between Soul Reapers and Quincies.
