The story and preview images for Episode 8 (Episode 56 overall) of the TV anime Rent-A-Girlfriend (JP: 彼女、お借りします) Season 5 have been revealed. This episode will air on Saturday, May 30 at 2:23 AM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 8 Story

Kazuya remains ecstatically happy alone in his apartment, repeatedly looking back on his date with Chizuru from the previous day. When Mini joins him, Kazuya reports on how the date went. Although Mini finds plenty of things to critique and question, she senses their unique quality in the sheer seriousness of the two.

Kazuya was told by Chizuru that she wanted to investigate her own feelings.

At night, just as Kazuya begins to think about what the future holds, Chizuru pays a sudden visit to his room.

Introduction

Kazuya Kinoshita is a hopeless college student who introduced the prim and proper "Rental" Girlfriend, Chizuru Mizuhara, to his family and friends as his "real" girlfriend. Unable to reveal the truth, Kazuya continued their "fake" relationship, but as they overcame various hurdles together, his feelings for her gradually grew into "real" love.

Having successfully completed the crowdfunding campaign for their independent film, Kazuya has finally steeled his resolve regarding his feelings for Chizuru. Meanwhile, his somewhat pushy "provisional" girlfriend, Ruka Sarashina, begins pursuing him even more aggressively than ever before...! Furthermore, a tense situation arises as Mami Nanami—the devilish ex-girlfriend who knows the "truth" about Kazuya and Chizuru’s relationship—suddenly makes a move to get close to Chizuru.

With everyone around them getting dragged into the chaos, the story heats up even further! Now, the stage shifts to Spa Resort Hawaiians!! Kazuya’s "reality," which began with a single "rental," continues to evolve. Will the day ever come when the "fake" girlfriend becomes the "real" thing—?!
