Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. Reveals Mariko Higashiuchi as New Voice of Hitomi Koshigaya, Season 2 ED Theme Performed by Houshou Marine

Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. Season 2 has announced a new voice actress for Hitomi Koshigaya along with a newly released promotional video featuring her updated voice performance ahead of the anime’s July premiere.

Mariko Higashiuchi Cast as New Voice of Hitomi Koshigaya

New information for the second season of the TV anime Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc., which begins airing on July 4 on the Nippon Television network in Japan, has been revealed.

Mariko Higashiuchi has officially been cast as Hitomi Koshigaya, replacing Yumiri Hanamori, who stepped down from the role earlier this year. A new promotional video featuring Higashiuchi’s voice performance as Hitomi has also been released.

Regarding the cast change, the anime’s official website announced in February that discussions had been held with Hanamori’s agency, tomorrow jam, resulting in a mutual agreement for her departure from the role.

Mariko Higashiuchi Shares Her Thoughts on the Role

Commenting on taking over the role, Higashiuchi described Hitomi Koshigaya as “an incredibly cool person with a huge heart.”

She continued by saying that behind Hitomi’s casual use of the phrase “Easy win” lies countless struggles and setbacks, though the character never lets those hardships show. Higashiuchi expressed admiration for Hitomi’s strength and unwavering convictions, adding that she hopes to sincerely convey all of the character’s charm through her performance.

New Cast Member and Ending Theme Revealed

Additional casting information was also announced, with Sayumi Watabe joining the series as Iroha Akasaka.

The ending theme song for Season Two has been confirmed as “BooooM!!!” performed by VTuber and Hololive member Houshou Marine.

Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. is a workplace themed magical girl action series set in a world where supernatural disasters known as Kaii exist, and magical girls are admired as a professional occupation.

The story follows Kana Sakuragi, who becomes caught in a Kaii incident during a job interview and meets the delinquent styled magical girl Hitomi Koshigaya. After discovering Kana’s hidden magical talent, the startup company Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. recruits her as a new graduate employee.

Together with her eccentric senior coworkers, Kana works to grow both as a professional and as a magical girl.

The first season of the anime aired from October to December 2024.
