From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman Season 2 to Stream Exclusively on Prime Video Worldwide, New Action Packed Promo Released
It has been announced that From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II will air on the nationwide TV Asahi network's IMAnimation W programming block starting July 8. The anime will also be available exclusively on Prime Video worldwide beginning at 12:15 a.m. JST on July 9, immediately after the television broadcast. Alongside the announcement, a new promotional video was released, offering fans a fresh look at the upcoming season.

New Promo Features Intense Sword Fighting Action
The 30 second spot begins with a lighthearted scene showing protagonist Beryl Gardinant greeting others at his new assignment. The atmosphere quickly shifts as breathtaking sword battles unfold against the energetic sound of the ending theme song "Mikansei" performed by BLUE ENCOUNT.
The video also showcases tense confrontations with new characters and highlights Beryl's determined gaze as he faces ominous threats lurking in the darkness. The footage builds anticipation for the large scale battles awaiting viewers in the new season.
A Popular Fantasy Series With More Than 8 Million Copies in Circulation
The anime is based on the fantasy novel series written by Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. Together with its manga adaptation by Kazuki Sato and two spin off titles, the franchise has surpassed 8 million copies in circulation.
The story follows a humble middle aged swordsman whose extraordinary skills earn him recognition as a legendary master swordsman, leading him into battles and adventures far beyond his quiet countryside life.
Returning Staff and Cast Reunite for Season 2
Season 2 reunites much of the core creative team from the first season, including director Akio Kazumi and animation studios Passione and Hayabusa Film.
The main cast also returns, led by Hiroaki Hirata as Beryl Gardinant, with Nao Toyama reprising her role as Allucia Citrus and Hitomi Ueda returning as Surena Lysandra.
