In the trailer, Maomao and Jinshi set out on a journey to the southern region, the homeland of a consort who died in the rear palace five years earlier, in order to return her body there. They arrive in Minanzhou, a lively water city, where Maomao is excited by the unfamiliar medicines and plants she encounters. However, she soon faces a major mystery hidden within the consort’s body. The presence of rampaging water bandits and hidden treasure is also revealed, hinting at turbulence ahead for Maomao and Jinshi. The trailer also shows a mysterious boy who holds the key to the story, as well as new characters, raising expectations for how they will take part in the film.
The film tells a completely new original story by original author Natsu Hyuga. It is described as the largest mystery in the series to date, with the secret of the body and hidden treasure intricately intertwined. In the latter half of the trailer, Maomao says, “What kind of secret could they be hiding?” as the video depicts the clashing intentions of various characters, suggesting a grand drama that deserves to be seen on the big screen.

Departing from the series’ usual glamorous palace atmosphere, the visual becomes a grand piece that blends beauty with danger. As the tagline says, “That mystery will lead to hidden treasure,” the image hints at new puzzles and a fierce development awaiting Maomao and Jinshi as they pursue the treasure.
