World’s First Pokémon Airport Opens on the Noto Peninsula, Featuring Pikachu Satoyama, Themed Restaurant Menus, and Original Goods

Pokémon has arrived at Noto Satoyama Airport in a world first. Noto Satoyama Airport has opened for a limited time as Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport, the first airport in the world to bear the Pokémon name. The special airport opened on July 7 and will operate under this name until September 30, 2029.

Original Airport Logo Designed to Deliver Cheer

The airport’s original logo features a bright and festive design created with the wish of bringing energy and encouragement to visitors. Inspired by Poké Balls and Pikachu, the logo incorporates the shape of the Noto Peninsula as well as the smiles of local residents and travelers.

Second Floor Atrium

In the second floor atrium, one of the airport’s distinctive architectural features, a large symbolic Pikachu and airplane balloon float overhead. Around them, countless Pokémon are decorated as if they are comfortably flying through the sky.

Including this atrium area, decorations across the airport grounds feature all 111 Flying type Pokémon discovered as of May 2026. Mega Evolutions, regional forms, and similar variations are excluded.

First Floor Arrival Lobby

The first floor arrival lobby features a large display using the recovery support artwork “Akarui Mirai,” which was newly drawn in 2024 to support Noto’s recovery. The scenery, reminiscent of Noto’s rich natural landscape, gently welcomes arriving travelers.

Pikachu, Plusle, and Minun, who appear at the center of the artwork, have also been recreated as three dimensional monuments.

Observation Deck “Pikachu no Satoyama”

The airport’s observation deck is filled with countless Pikachu. True to the “Satoyama” name included in the airport’s title, Pikachu create a charming satoyama landscape throughout the area.

Visitors who look closely will also find several other Pokémon playing among the Pikachu.

Three Short Videos: Airport Side Stories

Inside the airport, visitors can use their smartphones to enjoy three original short videos. One of them, “Fly, Bagon!,” tells the story of Bagon, who longs to fly in the sky.

A monument of Bagon looking up at Salamence has been installed inside the airport, linking the real airport display with the video. The other two videos are also original stories designed to make the airport and a trip around the Noto Peninsula even more enjoyable.

Airport Restaurant and Original Pokémon Menus

At Restaurant Annon on the third floor of the airport, visitors can enjoy original Pokémon menu items created for the airport. Two types of pancakes and two types of drinks are planned.

Customers who order a pancake and drink set will have their meal served on an original luncheon mat.

Airport Shop to Sell Original Goods

At Serendipity, the airport shop on the second floor, original products featuring the airport logo and the airport’s original artwork “Kibou no Sora” are planned for release.

The lineup includes T shirts, keychains, luggage tags, suitcase belts, and other items that reflect the airport setting.
