That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 will air its third cour beginning in July 2027. It was also announced that the Slime spin off manga That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Clayman's Revenge will receive a TV anime adaptation, scheduled to premiere in April 2027.

New Clayman's Revenge Anime Features Rimuru and Clayman

The newly released special video features new animation by Eight Bit. One of its highlights is a comical exchange between Rimuru and Clayman, who suddenly appears during a conversation between Rimuru and his partner Raphael, Lord of Wisdom. It offers an interaction between Clayman and Rimuru that was not seen in Season 2 of the anime.

Throughout the long story of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, one Demon Lord with an especially powerful presence played a key role in shaping how Rimuru would live his life from that point forward.

That Demon Lord was Clayman, the Marionette Master and ruler of the Puppet Nation of Jistav.

A man who plotted, manipulated others and sought to dominate the world, Clayman ultimately saw his ambitions crushed by a single slime.

But what if he had lived his life differently?

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Clayman's Revenge depicts a story that might have existed within the history of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

Clayman's Revenge started as an idea that just happened to cross my mind, but now, amazingly, it is getting an anime adaptation!

Things have moved along so smoothly ever since the project began that even I, as the original creator who proposed the idea, have been feeling nervous about how quickly everything is progressing. Laughs.

Clayman is wearing a serious expression as he reprimands one of his subordinates, but the glass in his hand shakes and some wine spills out. It leaves a small stain on his perfectly white suit, and when Clayman notices it, he desperately tries to cover it up so no one realizes how uncool he looks.

The concept behind Clayman's Revenge was simply the idea that something like that would already be funny on its own.

At first, I wrote the plot thinking that it would be nice if the series could last for around two volumes. Thankfully, however, it has been well received by fans, and now I would like to keep it going for as long as possible!

While I would like to have Clayman show his serious side from time to time, I basically want this to remain a work that people can simply enjoy.

Most importantly, I hope that not only Kajika sensei and I, but everyone on the anime production team as well, can come together as one team and enjoy creating this series.

Just being given the opportunity to draw a spin off manga of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime already felt like a miracle to me, so even after I was told it was getting an anime adaptation, it did not feel real for quite some time!

I have been shown the anime character designs and even had the chance to visit the voice recording sessions, and I have been constantly moved by the experience!

I really, truly cannot wait to see Clayman's army in animated form!
