Detective Precure! The Movie Surpasses 900 Million Yen in 10 Days

Box office performance numbers for Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of the Two (released September 18) have been officially announced. Over the three-day weekend (September 25–27), the film drew 134,000 moviegoers and earned 174 million yen, bringing its 10-day cumulative totals to 740,000 attendees and over 900 million yen in box office revenue (according to Kogyo Tsushinsha).

Additionally, it was announced that a new theater audience giveaway—the "Kyutto Resolved★Business-Card-Style Card," available for both adults and children—will be distributed starting October 2. The cards will be distributed at random from a total of five designs: Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, Cure Eclair, Cure Arcana, and Cure Arcana Shadow.

During its initial three-day opening, the film recorded 357,612 attendees and a box office revenue of 445,584,150 yen. This surpassed the opening performance (356,925 attendees / 437,001,330 yen) of the 20th-anniversary film Precure All Stars F The Movie (released September 15, 2023; final attendance 1.23 million / 1.54 billion yen), which previously held the franchise record, marking the best opening start in the series' history.

Furthermore, opening-day gross exceeded 100 million yen, setting a new franchise record for a Friday release. The film's official team explained that the movie is well-positioned to potentially become the first in the franchise to reach 2.0 billion yen in total box office revenue.

The story of Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of the Two begins when rumors of the mysterious "X-Mark Incident" start spreading through the town. Whenever something is marked with an "X," it becomes fixed in place or unusable. As Anna and her friends investigate these incidents, a fairy client named Rain appears with a plea: "Please protect Karin from the Dame-Dame."

Guided by Rain, they arrive at "Karin's Garden," a location as beautiful as a dream. There, they meet a young girl named Karin and her guardian fairy, Alan. Anna and her friends quickly bond with Karin and begin their investigation, but the Dame-Dame suddenly appear even in this peaceful sanctuary... Who are the Dame-Dame, and what secrets lie hidden within the mysterious garden?
