Yoshitomi is also directly involved in the new anime as the scriptwriter and the creator of its original design concepts.

Shunji Oga, whose credits include Golgo 13 and Romance of the Three Kingdoms, will direct the anime.

Satoshi Hirayama, known for work on the Lupin the Third series, is handling character design, while Studio Cab is responsible for animation production.

EAT-MAN is a science fiction manga that was serialized in Monthly Dengeki Comic Gao! from 1996 to 2003.

The story follows the mysterious adventurer Bolt Crank, who can consume metal and recreate various weapons.

Without speaking about his past or revealing his goals, Bolt travels the world taking on jobs, encountering numerous incidents and fateful events along the way.

The manga previously received television anime adaptations in 1997 and 1998.
