The TV anime "My Deer Friend Nokotan" (official abbreviation: Shikanoko, airing from the 7th, pre-release on ABEMA from the 3rd) has jumped on the bandwagon of the anime "Oshi no Ko," which starts broadcasting today, the 3rd.

The official X account of "Oshi no Ko" announced, "2 hours until broadcast! TV anime 'Oshi no Ko' Season 2 starts broadcasting & streaming today."

In response, the official X account of "My Deer Friend Nokotan" reacted by quoting, "Shikanoko starts in 2 and a half hours! I'll become your deer child." This was because "My Deer Friend Nokotan" airs on ABEMA at 11:30 PM, right after "Oshi no Ko" at 11:00 PM. The image posted on the official "Oshi no Ko" X account features the character Kana Arima, voiced by Megumi Han, who also appears in "My Deer Friend Nokotan." This added to the impression that "My Deer Friend Nokotan" was riding on the popularity of "Oshi no Ko."

This prompted online reactions such as, "Just because it's the same voice actor doesn't mean you can be so freewheeling," "I laughed out loud," "This is too wild," and "The official should stop riding on other shows' official accounts." As of now (10:30 PM), there has been no response from the "Oshi no Ko" side to "My Deer Friend Nokotan."
