Dr. STONE Season 4 Episode 18 Story and Scene Previews Released: Senku's Team Reaches the Blast Site, but Stanley Closes In

The story and stills of Episode 18 from the final season of Dr.STONE (SCIENCE FUTURE) have been unveiled. This Episode is set to premiere on August 14 (Thursday) at 10:00 PM JST on Japan’s TOKYO MX, followed by global distribution on various platforms.

After conquering the Ultra Race across South America, Senku and his team finally arrive at the epicenter of the petrification beam. What awaits them is a terrifying yet breathtaking sight—an expanse littered with dormant petrification devices.

As Kohaku and the others are left speechless by the sheer malice that rained down thousands of years ago, Senku wastes no time. He gathers a large number of deactivated devices and immediately begins scientific analysis with Dr. Xeno.

However, Stanley and his men are drawing closer by the second...

What is Dr.STONE?

Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon petrified all of humanity in an instant... A science prodigy, Senku Ishigami, awakens in a stone world devoid of civilization. Using his genius intellect, he embarks on an epic adventure to rebuild the world through the power of science.

The TV anime Dr.STONE is based on the manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2017 to 2022, created by Riichiro Inagaki (story) and Boichi (art). The manga received accolades like 2nd place in the Next Manga Award 2018 (Comics Division) and the Shogakukan Manga Award (Shonen Division), surpassing 18 million copies in circulation.

The anime debuted in July 2019, followed by its second season in 2021, a special in 2022, and the third season, Dr.STONE NEW WORLD, in 2023. The upcoming fourth season, titled Dr.STONE SCIENCE FUTURE, will air across three split cours starting in 2025. Its announcement in August 2024 created a massive buzz on social media.
