Anime JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Unveils Cast , Shogo Sakata, Yohei Azakami, and Kaito Ishikawa to Star

The latest anime adaptation of Hirohiko Araki’s popular manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure was officially introduced at a special event held in Tokyo on September 23. The event revealed the main cast members, sparking excitement among fans.

Shogo Sakata will voice Johnny Joestar, Yohei Azakami will portray Gyro Zeppeli, and Kaito Ishikawa will take on Diego Brando. In addition, Rie Takahashi will voice Lucy Steel, while Kenta Miyake plays Steven Steel. The event opened with Miyake declaring, “Welcome to the Steel Ball Run race!” which brought a wave of cheers from the audience as the cast was revealed.

Since beginning serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) in 1986, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has surpassed 120 million copies in circulation worldwide. The series is renowned for its eccentric character designs, unique sound effects, and unforgettable dialogue. Currently, Part 9 titled The JOJOLands is running in Ultra Jump. The franchise has expanded across multiple media including anime, games, stage productions, and even live-action films.

The upcoming anime Steel Ball Run is set at the end of the 19th century in the United States and follows the first transcontinental horse race across North America. The story centers on Johnny Joestar, a former prodigy jockey left paralyzed from the waist down, who meets the enigmatic outlaw Gyro Zeppeli. Together, they form an unlikely partnership and take on the grueling cross-country race.
