Alya, who sits next to the protagonist Masachika Kuze, always looks at him with a cold gaze but occasionally whispers sweet nothings to him in Russian. Masachika has native-level Russian listening skills, and although Alya assumes he doesn’t understand, he comprehends everything she says. Pretending not to notice while understanding her affectionate words, Masachika finds himself unable to stop smiling. This romantic comedy depicts the blooming romance between the two.

The highly anticipated first anime adaptation of "Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian" will premiere on July 3, 2024, airing every Wednesday at 11:30 PM on TOKYO MX and 24 other stations nationwide. It will also be available on various streaming platforms sequentially.

Introduction

Alya, who sits next to Masachika Kuze, always gives him a cold look. However, sometimes she mutters sweet words to him in Russian... words that Masachika never fails to catch. It turns out that Masachika has native-level listening skills in Russian!

Masachika Kuze
Voice Actor：Kouhei Amasaki (天崎 滉平)

Masachika sits next to Alya in class. He is a lazy underachiever who often sleeps during class because he stays up late watching anime. Alya frequently scolds him for his lack of seriousness. Unknown to her, Masachika learned Russian after falling in love with a Russian-speaking girl in his childhood.

Alisa Mikhailovna Kujo (Alya)
Voice Actor：Sumire Uesaka (上坂 すみれ)

Alya is a beautiful and intelligent student who is regarded as the "Solitary Princess" by her peers. She transferred to Seirei Academy in her third year of middle school and currently serves as the treasurer of the high school student council. Alya has a Russian father, a Japanese mother, and an older sister. After a certain incident, she became interested in Masachika, who sits next to her, and sometimes teases him in Russian, believing he doesn't understand.

Yuki Suo
Voice Actor：Wakana Maruoka (丸岡 和佳奈)

Yuki is a lady born into a former noble family. She served as the student council president during middle school and now aims to become the president in high school, handling public relations. Although she is seen as a model of propriety, she occasionally shows a surprising side to her childhood friend, Masachika.

Mariya Mikhailovna Kujo (Marsha)

Marsha, Alya's older sister by one year, is the secretary of the student council. With her exceptional figure and gentle beauty, she is very popular in the school and is known as the "Madonna of the Academy." However, she reportedly has a boyfriend, and any boy who confesses to her gets turned down because of this.

Ayano Kimishima

Ayano is a silent and expressionless attendant who serves Yuki. She is extremely loyal to Yuki and another person. To support Yuki at school, she joins the student council and helps with general affairs. Occasionally, due to her otherworldly nature, Yuki tricks and teases her.

Chisaki Sarashina

Chisaki is another silent and expressionless attendant who serves Yuki. Like Ayano, she is extremely loyal to Yuki and another person. She joins the student council to support Yuki and helps with general affairs. Yuki often tricks and teases her due to her otherworldly nature.

Touya Kenzaki

Toya is the charismatic student council president, admired for his impressive stature and demeanor. He is romantically involved with the vice president, Chisaki, and they are known as the most famous couple in the academy. Despite their duties, they often create their own world during student council activities, drawing warm looks from the other members.
