[Nice Project] Gundam Manholes Arrive in Minamiuonuma City in Collaboration with the Gundam Project to Boost Local Revitalization
On the 31st, Minamiuonuma City in Niigata Prefecture announced its collaboration with Bandai Namco Group's "Gundam Project" to install "Gundam Manholes" at two locations in the city starting from August 7th.

Bandai Namco Group is implementing a project to install "Gundam Manholes," which feature designs of characters and mobile suits from the globally popular "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, in various locations nationwide. This initiative aims to revitalize regions in cooperation with local governments and serve as a testament to the bond between Gundam fans across generations and the Gundam series.

Minamiuonuma City has received two types of manholes as a donation from the company. One features Gundam along with the rice variety "Koshihikari," a specialty of the city, and the other depicts the Zeon mobile suit Gyan and Mount Hakkai, a symbol of the city.
Minamiuonuma City, known for its heavy snowfall, skiing industry, and rice farming utilizing snowmelt water, hopes this collaboration will generate new tourism demand.
