On July 31, anime production company Khara, known for works like "Evangelion," reported that their representative, Hideaki Anno, has been hospitalized due to a complex fracture in his left leg.

On the company's official website, they announced, "Several events featuring Hideaki Anno were scheduled for August 2024. However, due to a complex fracture in his left leg, he will be hospitalized for a while and will have to withdraw from these events. We deeply apologize for the concern and inconvenience caused to everyone involved and all the fans. We ask for your understanding as he focuses on his treatment for the time being."

The Executive Committee of the "Yoshikazu Yasuhiko Exhibition," which had planned the "Special Talk: Yoshikazu Yasuhiko × Hideaki Anno" on August 11 at the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, announced on their official website, "Due to Hideaki Anno's injury, the 'Special Talk: Yoshikazu Yasuhiko × Hideaki Anno,' scheduled for August 11 (Sunday), has been canceled."

They further added, "We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the event and ask for your understanding. Please be assured that Mr. Anno is currently recuperating and on the path to recovery."
