Starting on the 2nd, the Netflix film "Sandy Cheeks' Rescue Mission in Bikini Bottom" from the "SpongeBob SquarePants" series is now available on the streaming service. To commemorate this, parody visuals have been released depicting SpongeBob appearing in the worlds of Netflix's popular shows like "Squid Game," "Wednesday," "Emily in Paris," and "Knives Out," creating what can be called a "Netflix Multiverse."

The latest installment of the comedy animation series follows the daily lives of SpongeBob, who lives in Bikini Bottom, and his friends including Sandy Cheeks. One day, Sandy and SpongeBob are suddenly lifted from the bottom of the sea along with the residents, and they set out on a journey to Texas to save everyone from the villains.

The Japanese voice actors are the familiar voices of Chie Matsuura as Sandy, Taiki Matsuno as SpongeBob, Mitsuaki Madono as Patrick, Yōji Ueda as Squidward, and Hirohito Okuda as Mr. Krabs.

The playful visuals feature worlds from Netflix's most popular shows. First up is "Squid Game," which had a globally successful Season 1, with Season 2 releasing on December 26, and the "final chapter" Season 3 announced for 2025. The visual shows SpongeBob in a situation akin to "Squid Game," with the caption "Squidward Game," depicting SpongeBob writhing under a tickling punishment, in stark contrast to the original's intense nature.

Next is "Wednesday," directed and produced by the genius Tim Burton, a worldwide hit with Season 1 exclusively available and Season 2 coming soon. This quirky and mysterious series features Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega) from "The Addams Family." In the visual, Sandy, unlike the cold and expressionless Wednesday, is cheerfully looking at us in a dark world similar to the original.

Then there's "Emily in Paris," a romantic comedy starring Lily Collins, with Part 1 of Season 4 starting on August 15 and Part 2 on September 12. Set in Paris, the show follows the protagonist Emily's struggles with work and love, known for its dramatic story and stylish fashion. In the visual, Gary the snail, who lives with SpongeBob, is depicted in a flashy pink outfit reminiscent of the original show, titled "Gary in Paris."

Lastly, there's "Knives Out," a top-notch mystery series starring Daniel Craig as the eccentric gentleman detective Benoit Blanc, solving murder mysteries intertwined with complex human relationships. The visual is set in the world of "Knives Out: Glass Onion," but instead of "Onion," it's "Pineapple," referencing SpongeBob's house. To understand why the original is titled "Glass Onion," viewers should watch the movie.

Additionally, SpongeBob's friends appear in other worlds, such as the reality show "Love is Blind," where singles try to find their match solely through conversations, and the thriller movie "Bird Box," starring Sandra Bullock, where a mother embarks on a desperate journey with her children to escape a mysterious terror. The spin-off "Bird Box: Barcelona" is also exclusively available on Netflix.
