The first part, Bocchi the Rock! Theatrical Compilation Re:, which was released on June 7th, attracted 420,000 viewers and generated 640 million yen in revenue. The second part, Bocchi the Rock! Theatrical Compilation Re:Re:, which premiered on August 9th, drew 250,000 viewers and earned 390 million yen, bringing the total for both parts to over 1 billion yen.
Additionally, the third-week attendance bonus for the second part has been revealed. Starting on the 24th, a "Character Cable Holder," a mini-figure that attaches to smartphone charging cables, will be distributed as a special bonus. Following the distribution of figures featuring Hitori Goto and Nijika Ijichi during the third week of the first part, the figures for the third week of the second part will feature Ryo Yamada and Ikuyo Kita, with two variations given at random.
The film is based on the popular 4-panel manga Bocchi the Rock! by Hamaji Aki, serialized in Manga Time Kirara MAX by Houbunsha. The story follows Hitori Goto, an extremely shy and introverted girl, as she joins a band called Kessoku Band and grows alongside three unique members: Nijika Ijichi, Ryo Yamada, and Ikuyo Kita. The series has resonated deeply with many fans.
When the TV anime aired in the fall of 2022, it quickly became a hit, especially among young audiences, winning numerous awards and gaining widespread popularity both domestically and internationally. On the music front, Kessoku Band's full album Kessoku Band took the top spot in the Oricon 2023 "Works Sales Division Digital Album Ranking" for the year, creating a significant impact.
