Novak suspects that Rafal has inherited the heretical ideas of Hubert, who was executed for his belief in the "heliocentric theory." Novak tries to shake his father-in-law, Potocki, who himself was once captivated by the heliocentric theory and had a history of being captured as a heretic. Betrayed by Potocki, Rafal is apprehended. "If you abandon the heliocentric theory, everything will be forgiven" — in court, Rafal is faced with a choice and takes an unimaginable action.

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth is based on the manga of the same name by Uoto, serialized in Big Spirits Comics (published by Shogakukan). It is a highly acclaimed work, having won the Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Awards.

Set in 15th-century Europe, during a time when heretical ideas were punished by burning at the stake, the story follows those who risk their beliefs and lives to prove the heliocentric theory, which challenged the dominant geocentric worldview.
