[JUST IN] New Lupin III Movie Announced: 2D Anime Returns in 2025 After 30 Years
A brand-new Lupin III film, titled LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE, is set to hit theaters in 2025. This marks the first 2D animated theatrical release for the iconic series in nearly three decades, following 1996’s Lupin III: Dead or Alive.
First Teaser Revealed
The teaser trailer offers a glimpse into the high-stakes heist world of Arsène Lupin III, the legendary thief’s grandson. Familiar characters Daisuke Jigen, Goemon Ishikawa, Fujiko Mine, and Inspector Zenigata make dramatic appearances, hinting at a thrilling new adventure.
The visuals feature bold color contrasts, sleek and intense cinematography, and a fast-paced style that highlights the danger and mystery looming over Lupin and his gang. The tagline, “You still don’t know the real Lupin,” promises a return to the franchise's roots while delivering an ultimate cinematic experience.
