The film, directed by Emi Tai and executive produced by acclaimed filmmaker Shunji Iwai, explores the journey of Nii., a trailblazing player representing the Simplified Chinese Pokémon Card Game, as he competes in the Pokémon World Championships 2024.

The documentary highlights Nii.’s journey from dominating the Masters Division tournaments—where he claimed two championships—to his performance at the 2024 Pokémon World Championships. It also delves into his personal life, including interactions with friends at his card shop, and the support of family and community.
