The story and scene previews for Episode 14 of the anime Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (EP14 title: "Today’s Sky") have been released. Episode 14 is scheduled to broadcast on NHK General TV on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:45 PM. Following each broadcast, the episode will be available for worldwide streaming on Netflix and for free on ABEMA.

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth - Episode 14 Story

Oczy endures relentless torture at the hands of Nowak, pushing Badeni to his breaking point. Unable to bear the suffering any longer, Badeni finally confesses. As a result, the materials on the heliocentric theory, safeguarded and passed down by believers through the ages, are seized by the Church. Both Badeni and Oczy are sentenced to death.

Despite accepting their grim fate, the two remain steadfast in their belief that the heliocentric theory will not be silenced. Clinging to a sliver of hope, they entrust their faith to a carefully planned strategy prepared in advance, walking resolutely toward the gallows.

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth is based on the manga of the same name by Uoto, serialized in Big Spirits Comics (published by Shogakukan). It is a highly acclaimed work, having won the Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Awards.

Set in 15th-century Europe, during a time when heretical ideas were punished by burning at the stake, the story follows those who risk their beliefs and lives to prove the heliocentric theory, which challenged the dominant geocentric worldview.

The prodigy Rafał is expected to major in theology, but one day, a mysterious man researching a "heretical truth" appears before him.
