The post reads:
"Happy New Year! Thank you for your continued support of Demon Slayer this year. We’ve unveiled a brand-new New Year illustration by ufotable—please enjoy!"
The artwork features a smiling Tanjiro, Nezuko, and the Hashira gathered together, accompanied by elegant white snakes—a nod to the Japanese zodiac.
The Legacy of Demon Slayer
Based on the manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge, which ran from February 2016 to May 2020 in Weekly Shonen Jump, Demon Slayer has become a cultural phenomenon. The manga has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation, captivating readers with its emotional storytelling and stunning visuals.
Set in Japan’s Taisho era, the series follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy seeking to restore his sister Nezuko to humanity after she is transformed into a demon. Joining the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjiro embarks on a journey to eradicate demons and avenge his family.
A Look Back at the Anime and What’s Ahead
The Demon Slayer anime debuted with the Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc in April 2019. This was followed by the record-breaking film Mugen Train in October 2020, and subsequent arcs:
Entertainment District Arc (December 2021)
Swordsmith Village Arc (April 2023)
Hashira Training Arc (May–June 2024)
The next chapter, a theatrical trilogy adaptation of the Infinity Castle Arc, is set for release in 2025, promising fans more breathtaking action and emotional depth.
