An Artist with a Unique Background

The series’ creator, Ao Hatesaka, boasts an exceptional background. Before debuting as a manga artist, Hatesaka worked under the name omao, collaborating with renowned artists like Ayase (MIKUNOYOASOBI) and Ado (DIGNITY), where they designed album covers and music videos.

Hatesaka’s journey to Weekly Shonen Magazine began with their victory in the 108th Newcomer Manga Award in 2022, where GALAXIAS earned the highest score in the award’s 60-year history. The editorial team was astonished by the quality of the submission, awarding it the coveted Tokusen Prize, a rare accolade.
