The creative group CLAMP has announced that the manga xxxHOLiC: Return will resume serialization in Young Magazine Issue 21, set for release on April 21.

This exciting announcement comes as CLAMP celebrates their 35th anniversary in 2024. In honor of their illustrious career, the group recently held the CLAMP Exhibition at the National Art Center in Tokyo.

About the xxxHOLiC Series

xxxHOLiC first began serialization in 2003 in Young Magazine. Known for its unique storytelling that intertwines with CLAMP's Tsubasa -RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE-, the series garnered widespread acclaim for its innovative narrative techniques.

The manga was renamed xxxHOLiC: Rō in 2009 and concluded in 2011. Two years later, it returned with a new series titled xxxHOLiC: Return. The latest installment follows the legacy of xxxHOLiC, which has been adapted into various media, including:

A 24-episode first anime season
A 13-episode second season
The movie xxxHOLiC: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
The OVA xxxHOLiC Shunmuki, bundled with limited editions of manga volumes 14 and 15
A 2013 live-action drama on WOWOW
In 2022, the series was adapted into a live-action film directed by Mika Ninagawa. Additionally, the stage play adaptation, Theatrical Oddities “xxxHOLiC” -Zoku・Sai-, began performances on January 24 this year, hosted by Nelke Planning.

CLAMP’s Legacy

CLAMP, a four-member creative group comprising Satsuki Igarashi, Nanase Ohkawa, Tsubaki Nekoi, and Mokona, debuted commercially in 1989 with RG VEDA in South Issue 3 (published by Shinshokan). Over the decades, they have produced numerous iconic works across genres, including:
