Story: A Looping Subway Passage, One Way Out

The story follows a man who exits a subway gate and walks through a sterile white underground passage marked “Exit 8.” Despite advancing forward, he can never seem to reach the exit. He repeatedly passes by the same man, growing increasingly suspicious, and soon realizes he is trapped in a looping hallway.

A mysterious “guide” posted on the wall instructs:
“If you detect an anomaly, go back. If not, keep moving forward.”
Each correct decision brings the man closer to Exit 8—but a single mistake may return him to Exit 0.

As bizarre and inexplicable phenomena intensify, the question remains:
Can he escape this hopeless corridor of despair? The film promises a 95-minute survival thriller unlike any other.

World Premiere at Cannes Receives Critical Acclaim

Exit 8 held its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it quickly earned praise from major international media for its innovative horror concept and immersive visual storytelling.

To build anticipation ahead of the Japanese release, a brand-new trailer filled with never-before-seen footage has been released. It begins with a chilling "guide" from a young boy, then plunges viewers into a world where reality and hallucination blur within a claustrophobic underground maze.

The trailer will screen in select theaters across Japan starting June 6, 2025.
