The Summer Hikaru Died Episode 5 Story and Preview Images Released: Hikaru’s Hold on Yoshiki Grows Stronger

The story and preview images for Episode 5 of the TV anime The Summer Hikaru Died (JP: 光が死んだ夏, Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu) have been released. The episode will air in Japan on Sunday, August 3 at 0:55 AM (JST), and will be available on streaming platforms worldwide shortly thereafter.

Trying to help Yoshiki build a tolerance to beings like himself, Hikaru once again asks him to touch the “inside” of his body. Compared to last time, Yoshiki seems less hesitant—maybe even a little used to it. But Hikaru doesn’t stop there. His interference, if you can still call it that, only deepens.

Just as Hikaru feared, Yoshiki has begun to attract something sinister—Kegare. When a ghostly figure with a wig appears in the bathroom, Hikaru rushes to Yoshiki’s house to deal with it. But things don’t quite go as planned...
