“Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME” Set to Release on August 31

Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, a new action title based on Naoya Matsumoto’s popular manga and anime Kaiju No. 8, will officially launch on August 31, 2025 (JST) for mobile and PC. Developed and operated by Akatsuki Games in collaboration with TOHO and Production I.G, the game has already surpassed 850,000 pre-registrations and will be available worldwide via the App Store, Google Play, and Steam.

New Trailer and Key Visual Reveal

In celebration of “Kaiju No. 8 Day” on August 5, a new trailer and key visual were unveiled, featuring members of the Japan Defense Force and the Kaiju No. 8 himself, alongside new original characters from the special unit CLOZER.

Live Gameplay Footage Premiered by Kafka’s Voice Actor

During the Kaiju No. 8 Day Special Program, voice actor Masaya Fukunishi (Kafka Hibino / Kaiju No. 8) played the game live on air, showcasing battle scenes, high-end graphics, and smooth control mechanics. The stream also introduced in-game systems like Ultimates and “core exposure” sequences.
