Voice Actors Maaya Uchida & Kaito Ishikawa Announce Marriage: “We Will Grow as Human Beings and as Performers with a Sense of Responsibility”

Maaya Uchida, best known for voicing Ranko Kanzaki in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, and Kaito Ishikawa, who plays Tenya Ida in My Hero Academia, announced on September 30 via their respective social media accounts that they have gotten married.

In a joint statement, they shared: “We sincerely apologize for the sudden announcement, but we, Maaya Uchida and Kaito Ishikawa, have gotten married. We are deeply grateful to all the fans who have supported us and to everyone in the industry who has stood by us throughout our careers.”

They continued: “Thanks to the warm support we have received, we have been able to walk this path to date. As fellow professionals in the entertainment industry, we are precious to each other as we share mutual respect and understanding for our work. Through the time we have spent together, we came to strongly feel that we want to continue our lives side by side, which has led us to take this new step of marriage.”

Finally, they expressed their resolve: “As we mark this new milestone in life, we will strive to carry even greater responsibility and grow both as human beings and as performers. Maaya Uchida is a popular voice actress known for roles such as Ranko Kanzaki in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls and Rikka Takanashi in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. Her younger brother is fellow voice actor Yuma Uchida. Kaito Ishikawa is also a well-known voice actor, recognized for roles including Tenya Ida in My Hero Academia, Naofumi Iwatani in The Rising of the Shield Hero, and Sakuta Azusagawa in the Rascal Does Not Dream series.
