Yamazaki was born on March 21 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Her major roles included Ran Mori in Detective Conan, Brigitte in The Two Lottes, and a female character in the game Yul Hynl Gang Ho Online.

On February 16, her agency had announced that she would suspend all activities for the time being while receiving medical treatment under a doctor’s instructions.

Her signature role as Ran Mori has been played by Akemi Okamura, known as the voice of Nami in One Piece, as a substitute since the March 14 broadcast. Okamura will continue in the role going forward. The currently released film Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi features Yamazaki’s voice.
