BLUE LOCK Live Action Movie Reveals Ado’s New Song “Monstruo” as Theme Song, Main Trailer Released

BLUE LOCK live action movie has revealed that Ado’s new song “Monstruo” will serve as the official theme song for the film, which opens in Japan on August 7. A new trailer and poster visual were also unveiled.

Ado’s New Song “Monstruo” Selected as Theme Song

The theme song, “Monstruo,” was composed and arranged by the powerhouse duo Giga and TeddyLoid, reuniting after their hit collaborations “Odo” and “Show.” Featuring an energetic Latin inspired rhythm, the song’s lyrics were written by ryo of supercell.

The title “Monstruo” means “monster” in Spanish. The song blends Ado’s dynamic vocals with versatile rap elements, creating a high energy track that reflects the awakening of one's inner monster and the determination to push forward beyond all limits.

Ado commented:

“My new song ‘Monstruo’ has been selected as the theme song for the BLUE LOCK movie. Producer Shinzo Matsuhashi on the Collaboration

Producer Shinzo Matsuhashi explained that the production team strongly wanted Ado to perform the theme song.

“We wanted to create an entertainment film for a new generation that could compete on a global stage. We boldly asked Ado to create a song that could stand alongside ‘Odo’ and ‘Show.’ What seemed like an impossible dream collaboration became reality once again, and we received an incredibly exciting new song.”

He also emphasized the film’s central theme of egoism.

“The word ‘egoist’ can sometimes sound negative or selfish, but that is not what this story is about. When true egoists gather together, they create team play beyond imagination and open the door to an entirely new world. This song, created through the powerful creative egos of Giga, TeddyLoid, ryo, and Ado, is proof of that. I hope audiences will want to dance when they hear it in theaters.”
