Sword Art Online Sugary Days Novel Depicts Kirito and Asuna’s Newlywed Life in the Sweetest SAO Episode Yet

Sword Art Online Sugary Days, a new novel in the SAO series, will be released on August 7. The new book, titled Sword Art Online Material 1: Sugary Days, depicts the newlywed life of Kirito and Asuna. It is described as the sweetest episode in the history of SAO.

The story takes place around the time when the conquest of Aincrad’s 75th Floor begins. After confirming their feelings for each other, Kirito and Asuna finally get married.

“You can do what you want... because I belong only to you, Kirito.”

The sweetest episode in SAO history, portraying Kirito and Asuna’s newlywed life, will finally be brought into the light.

However, the story does not end there.

“Um... I was thinking that I’d like to order a custom made rocking chair.”

To fulfill young wife Asuna’s wish, Kirito and Asuna visit Mahokle, a skilled player who works as a woodcraft artisan. However, that visit leads the two into an unexpected situation.

About the Sword Art Online Series

The Sword Art Online series is based on the novels by Reki Kawahara. Set in a near future where virtual reality has been realized through devices that connect users to virtual spaces, the story follows protagonist Kirito as he becomes caught up in incidents surrounding various online games.

The series has surpassed 30 million copies in circulation. Its television anime began airing in 2012, and four series totaling 97 episodes have been produced to date. In the Alicization arc, the longest story arc in the series, the narrative reached one grand conclusion.

A completely new original theatrical film, Sword Art Online the Movie: Integral Domain, is also scheduled to be released in 2028.
