Shangri La Frontier 3rd Season Premieres in January 2027 on Sunday 5 PM Anime Slot with Teaser PV Missing Sunraku

Shangri La Frontier 3rd Season will begin airing in January 2027 on the MBS and TBS nationwide network of 28 stations, every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. A teaser PV has also been released, offering a bold preview in which Sunraku is nowhere to be seen.

Shangri La Frontier 3rd Season Moves the Stage to Galaxia Heroes: Chaos

The series is based on the manga by Katarina and Ryosuke Fuji. In Weekly Shonen Magazine, where the manga is currently serialized, it became the first work in the magazine’s history to achieve a quadruple crown in reader surveys. The manga has also surpassed 17 million copies in worldwide circulation.

The TV anime’s 1st Season aired from October 2023 to March 2024, followed by the 2nd Season from October 2024 to March 2025.

In the 3rd Season, the setting shifts from Shangri La Frontier to Galaxia Heroes: Chaos. A highly popular episode begins as Sunraku, Pencilgon, and Oikatzo challenge the strongest group of professional gamers.

The Teaser PV Highlights Nu2meg and No Name Instead of Sunraku

In the newly released teaser PV, the stage is Galaxia Heroes: Chaos, commonly known as GH:C. The video shows a battle between Yggdraia, the villain controlled by Natsume Megumi, also known as Nu2meg of the Japanese team Nitro Squad, and Lucas, the hero of the American team STAR RAIN. Nu2meg’s loud laughter is villainous through and through, giving her a powerful presence as an antagonist.

The teaser also introduces a magician style female avatar wearing a red silk hat and a red long jacket. Her voice belongs to Arthur Pencilgon, hinting at the appearance of Towa Amane, who joins GGC as No Name.

Attention is now focused on what kind of game Nu2meg and No Name will launch against the reigning champion American team. Meanwhile, Rakuro Hizutome, the protagonist who participates as No Face, does not appear in the video, leaving viewers to wonder about future developments.

New Game Updates and Family Show Return Also Announced

For the franchise’s first game, Shangri La Frontier: The Seven Colossi, a new PV, in game materials, and information on a new campaign were also revealed. Further details will be shared through the game’s official website and official X account.

It was also announced that the family show held in 2024 will resume this October. In addition to Sunraku, Saiga 100, and Emul, Bilac, who was first unveiled at AnimeJapan 2026, will appear, along with the newly added Vysache.
