From Far Away Gets First Anime Adaptation in October 2026, with Full Supervision by Creator Kyoko Hikawa
From Far Away (JP: 彼方から, Kanata kara) anime will begin airing in October 2026 on TOKYO MX, ABC TV, and WOWOW. A teaser visual, promotional video, and details of the main cast have also been revealed. The entire original story will be adapted into an anime under the full supervision of creator Kyoko Hikawa.

From Far Away Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary with First Anime Adaptation
The anime is being produced to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the manga’s debut and marks the first anime adaptation of From Far Away. Studio DEEN is handling the animation production.

Tomoyo Kurosawa will voice Noriko Tachiki, while Kentaro Kumagai will play Izark Kia Tarj. Yuichiro Umehara has been cast as Rachef, and Eiji Takeuchi will voice Keimos Lee Goda.

From Far Away was serialized in LaLa from 1991 to 2002. The otherworld fantasy follows Noriko, a girl transported to another world, and Izark, a solitary wandering warrior. Their encounter sets sweeping events into motion that will change the entire world.
