The Pokémon Company announced on July 30 that it will contribute a total of 100 million yen to support relief and recovery efforts following the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake.

The funds will be provided as disaster relief donations to Kumamoto Prefecture and the Japanese Red Cross Society, as well as donations to organizations supporting the affected areas.
In a statement titled “Support for Areas Affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake,” published through the official Pokémon account on X, the company said, “We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake that occurred on July 28, 2026.”
The statement continued, “The Pokémon Company has decided to contribute a total of 100 million yen in the form of disaster relief donations to Kumamoto Prefecture and the Japanese Red Cross Society, as well as donations to aid organizations, to support relief for those affected and help with the restoration and reconstruction of the affected areas.”
The company concluded, “We sincerely hope for the earliest possible restoration and recovery of the affected areas.”
