Chii Fuyo Action PV Unveiled, Showcasing P.A.WORKS’ Powerful Battle Animation

Chii Fuyo has unveiled a new action PV ahead of its TV anime premiere in October. The series’ official English title is The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life. The new footage depicts Rein and his companions confronting the fearsome Phosphorescent Dragon inside a seemingly impregnable dungeon.

Lily, a top ranked S Class adventurer, Margaret, a highly capable A Class adventurer, Mirabelle, a formidable assassin trained by her assassin mother, and Rein, who wields Enhancement Granting Magic, each push their abilities to the limit as they risk their lives against the Phosphorescent Dragon.

Amid an extreme battle in which the powers of Rein and his companions converge, his Enhancement Granting Magic dramatically changes the course of the fight.

Will Rein and the others be able to survive against such a powerful enemy? And where will their second life ultimately lead them?

Story

Rein, an Enhancement Granting Mage, is suddenly expelled from his guild one day.

Rather than falling into despair, however, he declares, “Now I can do anything!” He retrieves the vast number of enhancement points he had previously granted to the equipment of his guild members and begins a new path as an adventurer.

Those who gather around him are all people carrying wounds that cannot easily be erased. They include a gifted adventurer who closed off her heart after all of her companions were killed, a warrior who lost her family, and an assassin who was raised to kill.

Even so, Rein never rejects their pasts or their scars. Instead, he accepts them openly and with unwavering optimism.

The story takes place in an unconventional fantasy world where Uzi submachine guns, pachinko, and even yakuza exist.

In this world, however, the more people rely on convenient scientific technology, the more their magical power declines, causing adventurers to grow weaker.

Intelligent and vicious monsters roam freely, while outlaws in the underworld openly pursue their desires and ambitions through plots and schemes.
