Togashi married Naoko Takeuchi, the author of 'Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon,' in 1999. The wedding ceremony was hosted by Kotono Mitsuishi, who voiced the protagonist Usagi Tsukino in Sailor Moon, and Nozomu Sasaki, who voiced Yusuke Urameshi in 'Yu Yu Hakusho.' It was revealed in the 'HUNTER×HUNTER' comics that during Takeuchi's hiatus as an author, she worked as an assistant to Togashi.
