Shueisha announced on the 19th the launch of a new manga competition titled "Jump Next Generation Battle Manga Award," focusing on battle-themed stories. The star-studded panel of judges includes Tite Kubo ("Bleach"), Kohei Horikoshi ("My Hero Academia"), Yūki Tabata ("Black Clover"), and Gege Akutami ("Jujutsu Kaisen").

The application period runs from October 1, 2024, to January 20, 2025. Winners of Honorable Mention or higher will have the opportunity to serialize their work in Weekly Shonen Jump, and upon the release of their manga in comic form, they will receive a special endorsement comment on the book's cover from one of the four judges of their choosing.

Additionally, to commemorate the launch of the competition, Kohei Horikoshi, one of the judges, created an original illustration featuring the protagonists of the four major works represented by the judges.
