The results of the first-ever global popularity poll for the highly popular manga My Hero Academia (author: Kohei Horikoshi), titled My Hero Academia Worldwide Character Popularity Poll 'WORLD BEST HERO', have been announced for the first week.

Midterm Result (Announced September 5th)

In the midterm results of My Hero Academia WORLD BEST HERO announced on September 5th (JST), Katsuki Bakugo, who had missed the top spot in the third week, has reclaimed the number one position. He ranked first in all regions, including Asia and North America, showing his global popularity.

In second place is the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya. Although he took the top spot for the first time in the third week, he dropped in rank this time. However, this is only the midterm result. There is still a chance for a comeback.

Shoto Todoroki takes third place. His fifth-place ranking in Oceania may have affected his overall standing.

Overview of the MHA Popularity Poll

The voting period for the main stage of the poll runs from August 5 at 18:00 to September 30 at 23:59 (JST), during which the top 10 characters will be determined. The final results will be announced during a premiere on the official Jump YouTube channel, "Jump Channel," on December 2 at 19:00. The character that ranks first will be awarded the prestigious title of "WORLD BEST HERO."

Additionally, there will be a special stage called the "PLUS ULTRA Stage," where the top three characters will compete for another first place. Voting for this stage will be open for only 24 hours from December 2 at 20:00 to December 3 at 19:59, with the results announced during a premiere on the same channel at 21:30 on December 3. The character that wins this stage will be awarded the title of "THE MHA" and will have a statue created in their honor.
